Another sucessful summer in Koper
Boki Nachbar Basketball Camp finished yesterday. Players, coaches and the rest of the staff were very pleased with the entire week. Everything worked out as planned, kids had a chance to meet slovenian national team player Jaka Blažič, enjoy the boat trip around slovenian shore, practice daily and compete against eachother and hang out with Boki during the day.
Boki was also very pleased to be able and organise the basketball camp for 8th straight year. He said: "Another fun basketball camp is behind us. I want to thank boys and girls for hard work, their parents for their trust and our camp staff for their help and dedicated work on and off the court. I am happy and proud that we developed into such big basketball camp, where kids have chance to learn basketball, enrich their personality and meet new friends. Just like young basketball players, we will strive to make this camp even better. Sky really is the limit for us. See you next year in Koper!!!"

More games and social events
The day started again with practice. After an hour of hard work, we received a visit from people with intellectual disabilities who practiced with us. The rest was cheering and clapping their hands. It was a great experience for each of us to watch them play, laugh and see them having fun. After a long spare time the competitions started again. The games were very nice, because they were all close matches. In the evening we played some social games and had a lot of fun. And then it was time to go to bed because all of the campers were very tired.

Day at the camp through the eyes of Anže Stropnik
"After our wake up call at 8AM we went straight to breakfast. Our first basketball demonstrations at the camp followed after which our day continued to basketball practices. Coaches emphasized the importance of proper technique and good basic foundation when controlling the ball on the court. After lunch we had an option either to stay at the school and rest or go out to the beach. The beach was a great chance to have some fun, relax, and get our minds off of the ball. We were back in time for the snack and afternoon practices. Again, we were taught about the importance of good technique and you can tell most of the campers have improved in their ball handling skills since the first practice. After dinner we were aloud to watch the first semifinal soccer game at the WC in Brazil. We were happy that Germany won since some campers among us are from Bamberg, Germany. Good Night!"
- Anže Stropnik
Practice and enthusiasm
On the first day of the camp, coaches placed players in groups and evaluated their basketball skills during the practice. After the break kids had another practice. The emphasis was on ball handling. After dinner we had social event, where kids introduced themselves to each other and together reevaluated the day with coaches and teachers.
